Parking Day 2022 was a day celebrated across the world where people temporarily repurposed curbside parking spaces into parks and small urban spaces. AGlanta hosted the event in Sweet Auburn and it was HDDC's first time participating.
The goal was to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people. We wanted to show that it's possible for us to produce our own food and support our on ecosystem - from farm to table.
The event was held back on September 16th with the support of Municipal Market, ASLA Georgia, Sweet Auburn Works, Community Foodscapes, Sovereign Construction and Development, and Cafe Kulture.
