HDDC has acquired strategic parcels along Auburn Avenue between Hilliard Street and Jackson Street in the Sweet Auburn Historic District of Atlanta, GA. These select parcels have been assembled by HDDC to provide the community with a first-class master planned mixed-use development comprising retail, commercial, and affordable rental and for sale housing. The development plan constitutes a combination of new ground up construction and the renovation of two existing retail buildings along Auburn Avenue that have historical significance to the community. The two retail buildings slotted for renovation are: 368 Auburn Avenue (5,000 SF – 5 units of retail) 364 Auburn Avenue (The Haugabrooks Funeral Home). The project will consist of 32 retail spaces to go along with 28 residential units – 14 for sale and 14 for rent. 9 rental units and 3 for sale units will be designated affordable housing.
